IIT(ISM) currently has Penman Auditorium with seating capacity of nearly 200 people. Built in 1926, the auditorium carries the legacy of the institute. However, given the fact that the number of students has increased muti-fold over the years, the Penman Auditorium lacks the ability to accommodate the students during induction and convocation programs. This triggers the need for a state-of-art auditorium equipped with modern facilities and adequate seating capacity.
The proposed centenary building will host a two-storey state-of-art auditorium with a seating capacity of 1500-2000 people. Apart from induction and convocation program for students, the auditorium will have the facilities to conduct conference, workshops, seminars, and cultural performances.
