The Ruby Celebration of 1983 Batch was conducted in IIT(ISM) Dhanbad from 16th Dec to 17th Dec 2023. The event was organized by the Office of Dean International and Alumni Affairs (IRAA). The reunion event was presided over by Prof. Mritunjay Kumar Singh, Acting Director, IIT(ISM), Prof. Rajeev Upadhyay, Faculty in Charge of Alumni Affairs and Mr. Mritunjay Sharma, Assistant Registrar IRAA. Around 19 alumni attended the event along with their wives. On 16th December, the day started with the Alumni engaging in different Sports activities at the Student Activities Center, and then had a taste of nostalgia when they visited their favourite Ramdhani Tea shop, they also enjoyed the campus tours of their respective departments. The day ended with the dinner in EDC where Photo Frame, Poncho and Napple pin were presented to them by the Acting Director. On 17th December, a Group photo was organized in front of the Heritage building followed by a visit to Maithon Dam and the day ended with their visit to Dhanbad Club in the evening. The growth of the institute in recent years and the latest developments happening in the institute were highlighted by the Acting Director, IIT(ISM) and team. Holding the meeting aimed to enhance the linkage and bonding with alumni of all disciplines like computer science engineering, electronics engineering, etc.
