Tech in Mining Engineering at IIT(ISM), Dhanbad based on the selection criteria at IIT(ISM), with a corpus fund of Rs.45, 00,000/-
Shri Srinivasan Padmanabhan (1960 Mining ) has sponsored the institution with awards named “Srinivasan Padmanabhan Academic Award”, “Smt. Usha Padmanabhan Academic Award”, and “Smt. Lalitha Srinivasan Innovation & Invention Award” with a corpus fund donation of Rs. 1,00,00,000/- (Rupees One Crore). The MoU was signed during Basant-2023. The Endowment Fund of Rs. 1 crore- is meant for 2 Academic awards (one each for B.Tech ME & B.Tech CSE) and 1 Innovation & Inventions Award (for all)
Shri Sanjiv Aggarwal has instituted one (01) Chair Professor position named “D.B. Aggarwal Chair Professor” as an institute chair with a corpus fund of Rs.50, 00,000/- (Mr. D.B. Aggarwal was an alumnus of the 1952-1956 batch of ISM) The said chair position is aimed at rewarding the faculties of the institute engaged in R&D studies on making coal and coal mining practices sustainable and relevant in India’s energy transition process in keeping with its COP 26 commitments.
